About the Company
We are the daughter of German company Microtherm GmbH, which was founded 1965 in Pforzheim. As one of its 9 production plants we offer our customers the complete range of products, available from the whole international group, in the field of thermal and current protection and controls.
The company was established in 2002 by investment of capital by Microtherm GmbH in the thermal control engineering division of Kovopol a.s. (Kovopol RT s.r.o.) and its renaming to Microtherm CZ s.r.o. In 2005 Microtherm GmbH took over 100% of shares of Microtherm CZ s.r.o.
Manufacturing of built-in adjustable thermostats had been introduced at Kovopol in 1971 and main supplies were directed to domestic home-appliances producer Elektro-Praha Hlinsko (later called ETA). In the mid seventies the product range was extended to include room thermostats, which are being manufactured as REGO brand name even today.
The main manufacturing programme of our company includes built-in adjustable bimetallic thermostats, temperature limiters and thermal links, designed for home appliances (irons, deep fryers, hotplate cookers, garden grills etc.) and various industrial applications (cooling,.). We also manufacture REGO room thermostats and in co-operation with the mother company we supply temperature limiters for the electrotechnical industry.
Based on corporate strategy we are supplying the Central and East European markets, the mother company and its other regional representatives supply the rest of the world.
